UMW Toyota Motor brings future mobility ideas to KLIMS 2026

KLIMS 2026: UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is presenting a future-focused Toyota showcase at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, taking place from 12 to 21 June 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. The showcase brings together concept mobility, electrified choices and experiential displays that reflect Toyota’s belief that mobility should be shaped around people and the different ways they move through life.

Toyota’s showcase presents a broad view of future mobility, connecting where Toyota is heading with choices that are already available to customers today. In Malaysia, this is seen in Toyota’s electrification journey, which has been built steadily through Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and expanded further with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). This connection between the brand’s long-standing values and future direction is also carried through the pavilion concept, which draws from Japanese heritage and presents it through a modern mobility setting.

This is aligned with Toyota’s Multi-Pathway approach, which gives customers practical and relevant ways to move towards lower carbon mobility based on their needs and readiness. More broadly, Toyota’s showcase shows how mobility can serve different people, lifestyles and needs. It is a view of mobility that connects with Toyota’s purpose of producing Happiness For All and its vision of Mobility for All, where technology is meaningful only when it creates greater access, confidence, independence and possibility.

Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, said, “Toyota has been part of Malaysia’s mobility journey for more than 60 years, and the trust we have built with customers continues to guide how we move forward. As mobility changes, our focus is to ensure that future ideas are not only exciting but also meaningful and relevant to people’s everyday lives. At KLIMS 2026, we are showing how Toyota’s vision for the future remains connected to practical choices customers can consider today, supported by the quality, durability, reliability and long-term confidence that customers have come to expect from the brand.”

At the heart of the showcase are three concept models that offer different expressions of Toyota’s future mobility thinking. The Corolla Concept, IMV Origin and Toyota Kids mobi each look at mobility from a different perspective, from everyday personal movement and practical community use to intelligent mobility designed around future generations.

The Corolla Concept offers visitors a look at how a familiar nameplate can continue to evolve with changing times. Corolla has long been part of everyday mobility around the world, adapting to different roads, customers and markets. In concept form, it points to a future where design, packaging and powertrain possibilities are explored around the needs of people who continue to expect mobility that is accessible, dependable and relevant.

The IMV Origin expands the discussion from personal mobility to mobility as a tool for communities. It reflects Toyota’s thinking around vehicles that can support work, local enterprise and daily resilience, particularly where mobility plays a direct role in livelihoods. Its simple and adaptable nature speaks to the idea that future mobility must not only be advanced, but also useful, repairable and responsive to real-world needs.

Toyota Kids mobi brings a different kind of imagination to the showcase. Created around mobility for children, it explores how safe and secure AI personal mobility may support independence, confidence and growth for younger users. It also reflects Toyota’s broader belief that Mobility for All must consider people whose needs are not always addressed by conventional vehicles.

Together, the three concepts move the showcase beyond future vehicle design and into Toyota’s broader view of mobility as something shaped around people. They show how Toyota is exploring mobility that is more personal, more inclusive and more useful across different needs, communities and stages of life.

The showcase also brings Toyota’s wider pursuit of ever-better cars through Toyota GAZOO Racing. Visitors can experience the GR spirit through performance models, a GR simulation game, and a merchandise wall, bringing Toyota’s passion for driving excitement and vehicle development closer to fans and customers.

As Toyota explores new technologies and future mobility ideas, its commitment to Quality, Durability and Reliability continues to guide how electrified mobility is brought to market in a way that is safe, dependable and trusted. These fundamentals remain central to ensuring that future choices are introduced with the same confidence customers have long associated with the brand.

Through its KLIMS 2026 presence, UMWT invites the public to see how Move Your World comes to life across Toyota’s mobility journey, from concept models that look ahead to electrified choices already available today, all grounded in the trust and confidence customers have come to expect from Toyota.
