Sime Darby Property Recognised for Leadership and Excellence with Multiple Industry Accolades

Sime Darby Property Berhad (“Sime Darby Property” or the “Group”) has been recognised for its leadership and excellence across governance, brand trust and sustainability, reinforcing the Group’s disciplined approach to value creation and long-term stewardship in real estate development.

At the National Corporate Governance & Sustainability Awards 2025 (“NACGSA”), Sime Darby Property received the Industry Excellence Award (Property) and ranked fifth among the Top 50 Public Listed Companies, making it the highest-ranked property developer on the list. This also marks the Group’s inaugural recognition at NACGSA.

Organised by the Minority Shareholder Watch Group (“MSWG”), NACGSA evaluates publicly listed companies through a structured and transparent assessment framework covering board leadership, shareholder rights, disclosure practices, sustainability performance, and stakeholder engagement. Sime Darby Property’s recognition builds on its earlier achievement at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards 2025, where the Group was also ranked among the Top 50 Public Listed Companies, reflecting consistent standards in governance, disclosure, and transparency.

Further strengthening its brand credentials, Sime Darby Property also received the Platinum Award in the ‘Property’ category at the Putra Brand Awards 2025, marking the Group’s fourth consecutive Platinum win, and fifth overall Platinum Award win. The win reflects sustained consumer confidence and trust in the Sime Darby Property brand.

Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Malaysia ("4As") in partnership with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands ("MMVB"), winners of the Putra Brand Awards are determined solely by consumers through an in-depth nationwide survey involving more than 20,000 unique respondents across various product and service categories.

Adding to this momentum, Sime Darby Property was also recognised as the ‘Best EV Friendly Property Development Company’ at the Malaysia Car of the Year (“MCOTY”) Awards 2025, in acknowledgement of the Group’s continued efforts to integrate EV-ready infrastructure and support greener mobility across its developments. This category recognises property developers that demonstrate leadership in planning and delivering EV-ready infrastructure, contributing to greener transportation and sustainable communities.

Dato’ Seri Azmir Merican, Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Property, said, “These recognitions reflect the collective efforts across the Group to uphold strong standards. Being recognised for governance excellence while remaining a trusted brand among consumers signals that our focus on operational rigour, sustainability and long- term value creation is translating into tangible outcomes. We sincerely thank MSWG, 4As and MCOTY for these awards as we remain focused on delivering outcomes that create lasting value for our stakeholders, guided by our Purpose: to be a Value Multiplier for people, businesses, economies and the planet.”
