KLIMS 2026: PRO-NET, a wholly owned subsidiary of PROTON Holdings Berhad, today introduced the new Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, marking the next phase in the evolution of Malaysia’s first national EV and reinforcing Proton e.MAS’s position as Malaysia’s No.1 EV Brand.
Building on the success of the Proton e.MAS 7, the new Premium Plus variant expands the lineup with a larger battery and enhanced comfort features, offering greater convenience for both daily commutes and longer journeys.

Kuasa e.MAS Powers KLIMS 2026, and Malaysia Forward
The introduction of the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus coincides with Proton e.MAS’s largest electrified mobility showcase to date at KLIMS 2026, held under the theme Kuasa e.MAS, Powering Malaysia Forward. The showcase highlights the brand’s growing electrified ecosystem through advanced technologies, ownership solutions and a diversified vehicle portfolio.
At the heart of the showcase are five (5) key technology showcases that underpin Proton e.MAS’s electrified mobility ecosystem. Visitors can explore the Global Modular Architecture (GMA), Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, the AEGIS Short Blade Battery, the 11-in-1 Electric Drive System and Dedicated Hybrid Powertrain technology, alongside the brand’s growing electrified portfolio comprising the Proton e.MAS 5, Proton e.MAS 7 and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV.
The introduction of the new variant also builds on strong market momentum, with the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV emerging as Malaysia’s No.1 PHEV model with 2,936 deliveries year-to-date, while more than 23,700 Proton e.MAS vehicles are now on Malaysian roads.
Extended Range and Enhanced Comfort with Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus
The Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus features a bigger and upgraded battery system, with the 68.39kWh AEGIS Short Blade Battery delivering an estimated WLTP range of up to 450km.
This extended range enhances flexibility for both daily commutes and longer-distance journeys, helping to address one of the key considerations for EV adoption – range confidence. Complementing the longer range is a more comfortable driving experience, with key enhancements to both driver and front passenger seats.
New features introduced on the Premium Plus include dual front massage seats, a powered front passenger seat with 4-way adjustment and memory function, as well as an integrated passenger leg rest for enhanced comfort during longer journeys.
Despite the larger battery capacity, the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus retains DC fast charging capability of up to 115kW, enabling charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes, consistent with the Premium variant.
These enhancements make the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus the first vehicle in its segment to combine up to 450km WLTP range with dual front massage seats and an integrated passenger leg rest.
“By combining greater driving range with enhanced comfort, the Premium Plus makes EV ownership even more practical and enjoyable. It further strengthens the Proton e.MAS 7’s appeal as a family-ready EV for both daily commutes and long-distance journeys,” added Mr Zhang.
