Perodua reduces Axia prices, transfers operational savings to customers

Perodua announced a reduction in the price of its Axia model, Malaysia's most affordable compact car and the nation's people's mover, by up to RM4,700, effective immediately.

The revision reflects continued improvements in the company's operational efficiency and reaffirms its commitment to passing tangible value on to its customers amid current economic conditions.

“This price revision forms part of our ongoing efforts to ease the cost pressures currently faced by Malaysians,” said Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato' Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

“The new pricing also reflects our ongoing efforts to further improve our operational effectiveness, which has similarly translated into reduced service costs and revised pricing for the QV-E and Battery as a Service (BaaS) offerings,” he added.

All specifications and quality standards for the Axia remain unchanged, with the cost savings derived entirely from process improvements and operational efficiencies.

“The revised pricing is the outcome of sustained, continuous improvement initiatives undertaken in close collaboration with our local suppliers and partners within the automotive ecosystem.

“We thank them (vendors and dealers) for extending their full cooperation in enhancing cost efficiency for the collective benefit of the industry and, by extension, all Malaysians,” Dato' Sri Zainal said.

As Malaysia's most affordable car, the Axia has long served as a dependable mode of transport for Malaysians. This price adjustment reaffirms Perodua's commitment to ensuring continued accessibility of the model to a broader base of consumers nationwide.
