Leapmotor, China’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) startup renowned for its cutting-edge technology and joint-venture partnership with Stellantis, took on a remarkable 6,000KM journey from its birthplace in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province right down to Johor Malaysia with its latest, state-of-the-art Range Extender Electric Vehicles (REEV).
The ASEAN Expedition Drive by Leapmotor showcases three landmark new REEV SUV models: the C10 REEV, the sleek C11 REEV and the six-seater C16 REEV. These frugal yet highly advanced SUVs will traverse major cities from Penang to Johor for the final leg of the journey, demonstrating their prowess in making cross-country travel effortless thanks to their exceptional intelligence, efficiency and globally-tested durability.
A key highlight of this expedition is the Leapmotor C10 REEV, a distinct model from the C10 EV offered locally. Featuring a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine designed to recharge the 28.4kWh battery pack, and combined with a 158kW electric motor, the C10 REEV SUV boasts an impressive 1,150KM (NEDC) driving range.
In addition, the REEVs embarked on a 10-day tour across Peninsula Malaysia from 14 - 23 April, visiting local Leapmotor authorised showrooms nationwide.
