Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) reinforces its commitment to the East Malaysian region with the official opening of the Kia Kuching Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd 3S Dealership. The facility marks a significant step in the brand’s ongoing strategy to enhance customer accessibility, elevate the ownership experience, and expand aftersales support across Malaysia.

Strategically located in the heart of Kuching’s financial and business district, the new 3S Centre strengthens KSM’s retail and service capabilities in Sarawak. It also supports the company’s long-term vision of developing a future-ready dealer network capable of serving both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electrified vehicle (EV) customers.

The Kia Kuching Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd 3S Dealership spans a built-up area of 4,796 sq. ft. and features a showroom with capacity for three vehicles. Its service centre is equipped with two work bays, capable of handling up to 260 vehicles per month.
The facility is also outfitted with the latest Kia diagnostic tools and offers a range of customer-centric amenities, including a cosy customer lounge, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a pantry with beverages and light snacks.
Established in 1984, Heng Lian Enterprise Berhad is a trusted automotive group based in Sarawak specialising in new passenger vehicles, new and used motorcycles, used commercial vehicles and hire-purchase financing.

Kia’s Global Momentum Reaches a Historic High
Kia has kicked off 2026 with a historic milestone, posting its highest-ever first-half sales performance since the company first entered the automobile market in 1962.
Between January and June, the automaker sold a total of 1,630,988 units worldwide surpassing the previous first-half benchmark set in 2025, when Kia recorded 1,587,536 total sales.
The second quarter (Q2) of 2026 saw Kia sustain its growth momentum with the automaker achieving its highest-ever quarterly sales of 851,639 units, up 4.5% year-on-year.
Kia’s retail sales for electrified vehicles surged 60% year-on-year to 296,000 units; bringing its global market share to a record high of 4% for the first half of 2026.
Looking ahead, Kia is optimistic about sustaining sales momentum in the second half of 2026 driven by solid EV and HEV demand, reinforcing its electrification leadership.
