Blueshark Malaysia and iMotorbike announced a strategic collaboration to introduce the Blueshark ReCycle Trade-in Programme, an initiative enabled by iMotorbike and designed to make it easier and more rewarding for Malaysian motorcyclists to transition from petrol-powered motorcycles to smart electric mobility.
Available from April 2026, the programme enables customers to trade in their existing internal combustion engine (ICE) or old electric motorcycles for a new Blueshark or SoloEra electric motorcycle, supported by attractive incentives and a seamless trade-in process powered by iMotorbike’s nationwide valuation and resale expertise.

The initiative is aimed at facilitating EV adoption and promoting the transition to electromobility while giving riders better tangible value for their existing motorcycles, supported by a trusted industry operator in iMotorbike. How the Programme Works
The process has been designed to be simple and customer-friendly:
>Customers visiting any Blueshark showrooms who wish to trade in their motorcycle will be connected with iMotorbike for an initial valuation based on photos and details of the vehicle.
>The customer then brings the motorcycle to an iMotorbike inspection centre for a full evaluation, where a final trade-in value is confirmed.
>Upon agreement, iMotorbike pays the trade-in amount directly to Blueshark. The customer can then purchase a new Blueshark or SoloEra electric motorcycle, offset by the trade-in value and enjoy the additional perks.
Likewise, Blueshark’s customers who walk into iMotorbike locations first can have their motorcycles valued immediately and will be referred to Blueshark to complete their new EV purchase.
Through this partnership, Blueshark and iMotorbike become key to catalysing EV adoption, while providing an attractive and practical zero emissions upgrade path for existing petrol motorcycle owners and fleet operators, leveraging iMotorbike’s nationwide network.

The ReCycle Trade-in Programme also supports wider sustainability goals by encouraging the replacement of older, higher-emission motorcycles with modern electric alternatives.
